Glenlogan Park stallion Jet Spur had an incredible day out with three winners and second from just four starters at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Jet Spur (Flying Spur) started out with a juvenile double courtesy of the Liam Birchley trained filly Shamrock Slipper and the Matt Dunn trained colt Qfighter who looked very promising on debut.
A few races later, Jet Spur struck again with four year-old gelding Aessex. He was spotting the leaders a big start entering the straight and a step up to more ground than 1800m should suit the consistent gelding.
The Gold Coast blitz comes hot on the heels of Jet Spur fillies Castle Hill (Toowoomba) and Any Destination (Gawler) who won earlier in the week.
Jet Spur was Queensland’s Champion 2YO Sire in 2010-11. He was a G2 winner of the Dodo Sprint at Caulfield and the G3 L’Oreal Paris Plate at Flemington. Champion Arrowfield Stud sire Flying Spur got him from G3 winning mare Verocative (Bletchingly) who hails from the family of Zeditave.
