Leading Victorian and South Australian nurseries Eliza Park, Erinvale Thoroughbreds, Lindsay Park, Supreme Thoroughbreds, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds and Woodside Park all have over 15 weanlings catalogued.
Champion racehorses with their first foals at the Great Southern Sale include Sebring, Henrythenavigator, Duke Of Marmalade, Authorized, Teofilo, New Approach and War Pass.
The supplementary weanling entries also include progeny of stallions like Magnus, Holy Roman Emperor, Statue Of Liberty, and Barely A Moment.
“Interest has been strong, especially in the weanlings,” Inglis Melbourne Director Peter Heagney said. “This sale is a great buying ground for pin-hookers who have on-sold at various sales across Australasia.”
Star graduates of the Great Southern weanling sale include G1 AJC Sires’ Produce winner Yosei, Group winner That’s Not It and Listed winner Warm Love. All could have been secured for a combined $50,000.
Furthermore both Tabulate and Jeuneyman, winners of in excess of $300,000, were also bargain purchases having been secured for less than $15,000 each.
The broodmare section contains mares in foal to or with foals at foot by Not A Single Doubt, Bel Esprit, Statue Of Liberty, Starcraft, Written Tycoon, Wanted, Bianconi and Choisir.
