A colt by Vinery sire Congrats topped Day 1 of the Ocala Winter Sale in Florida on Monday.  The colt from Toasttofriendship (Salt Lake) was knocked down to FHMB Bloodstock for $100,000.

Congrats (A.P. Indy) won the 2010 North American first-season sires’ premiership with 25 individual winners for earnings of $1.66 million.  Wickedly Perfect led the charge with victories in the G1 Keeneland Alcibiades Stakes and G3 Del Mar Sorrento Stakes.

Vinery transferred Congrats from Florida to its home base in Kentucky for the 2011 breeding season.  He sired three of the top four yearlings on Monday’s leader board.
