Vinery sires triumph at Magic Millions

Vinery Stud resident Benicio did his part to ensure a triumphant finale to the 2012 Gold Coast Magic Millions after his one and only entry sold for $82,500 on Sunday.

The Benicio – Manhattan Project colt was presented to sale by Goodwood Farm and was sold to local buyer Craig Morrisey.  He is closely related to the stakes winner Sparks Fly.

Manhattan Project (Flying Spur) foaled a Mossman filly in 2011.  “Goodwood’s colt was a cracking type,” Vinery’s Conor Phelan said.  “He presented beautifully, too.”

“Our stallions enjoyed a tremendously successful sale at the Magic Millions,” Phelan added.  “Myboycharlie made the perfect start with 10 offered, 10 sold.  They sold fir up to ten times his service fee.

“More Than Ready and Tests Rossa were incredibly popular again as was Mossman.”

Vinery has 9 yearling entered for the Inglis Sydney Classic Sale starting this Sunday.
