Wealth of talent at NZB South Island 2YO Sale

Macau star Wealthy Man continued the winning run of NZB South Island 2YO Sale graduates last weekend.

Wealthy Man (7g Danzighill – Tatts M’ Name by Trustful) won The Kalamoun (1400m) while equalling the class record of 1.20.20s.  He was a $12,000 graduate of the 2007 NZB South Island 2YO Sale when offered by White Robe Lodge.

A solid performer in Macau with 9 wins since his debut there in December 2009, Wealthy Man is trained by Stephen Chow for Lau Fu Wing and Tse Kam Po.  His older brother Team Work won 5 races in Hong Kong and their dam is a half-sister to Wingatui G3 winner Thomas James (Antic Boy).

Wealthy Man was a black-type winner of the LR Macau Directors Cup (1500m) at his penultimate start.  On that occasion, he defeated Macau Derby winner Luen Yat Forever (Honours List) who was G1 placed in the Toorak Hcp on a trip to Australia earlier this season.

White Robe Lodge will offer a dozen 2YOs at the NZB South Island Sale on August 10 by their resident sire Gallant Guru.  The best of his progeny to date has been 2012 NZB Southern Filly of the Year Ortem Fire.
