Wolfe Dreams sent his earnings soaring through the half-million dollar mark with a dashing win in the Listed Grandstand Cup (1500m) at Ascot on Saturday.
Wolfe Dreams (4g Sequalo – Marchen by Rory’s Jester) led home a Magic Millions trifecta from Keytomoney (Key Business) and Lie in Wait (Hold That Tiger).
The Albany based galloper has been a consistent money-spinner for connections since winning the Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic and Listed Perth Stakes in February – March 2009.
Wolfe Dreams went straight to the front in the Grandstand Cup and never gave his rivals a look in. “He’s been a great horse for us,” part owner Brett Wolfe said. “He always tries his heart out and that’s all you can ask.”
The winner is by Queensland based sire Sequalo and made his way to Western Australia after being pin-hooked for $10,000 as a foal by Eureka Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions National Sale. He changed hands again for $22,000 at the 2008 Perth Magic Millions yearling sale.
Wolfe Dreams is from the 100% winner produced Marchen following minor winners by Desert King (2) and Piccolo. It’s the immediate family of Golden Slipper winner Dance Hero (Danzero).
