Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Solemia has been retired after an unplaced run in the Japan Cup on Sunday.

Solemia (4f Poliglote – Brooklyn’s Dance by Shirley Heights) is booked to be covered by Dubawi at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.  A homebred for Alain and Gerard Wertheimer, she raced 14 times for 5 wins and among her other black-type victories were the G2 Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud and LR Prix Lord Seymour at Longchamp.

Solemia is a half sister to the Group winners Prospect Park and Prospect Wells (both by Sadler’s Wells) and the Listed winners Never Green (Halling), Brooklyn’s Gold (Seeking the Gold) and Gold Dodger (Slew o’ Gold).

Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) is widely regarded as the best young sire in the world and he heads the Dalham Hall roster at 75,000 pounds.
