Australian syndicator buys G1 winning mare Chocolicious

Group 1 winning South African mare Chocolicious has been purchased by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock.

Chocolicious (Kahal) has won five races including the G1 Allan Robertson Championship at Scottsville under the care of trainer Herman Brown jnr.  She will resume racing in South Africa shortly before heading to England next year.

Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock is operated by Darren Dance and is one of Australia’s leading syndication businesses.  Dance’s decision last year to invest in international stayers to tackle the major distance races resulted in Crackerjack King winning the G1 Presidente Dela Repubblica in Rome earlier this year.

Dance also purchased Jakkalberry who took out the American St Leger at Arlington Park in August before arriving in Australia to finish third in the Melbourne Cup.
