Bounty wins for Four Winds

Budding stayer Free Bounty can build on his maiden victory at Chelmsford on Thursday for Dick Turpin and Four Winds Racing.

Free Bounty (3c Dick Turpin – Native Ring by Bering) stayed on under pressure to win the Tote Quadpot Hcp (3200m) by a half-length from odds-on favourite Mystique Heights (High Chaparral).

Bred by Four Winds manager John Mear at Wood Farm Stud in Bedfordshire, he had put the writing on the wall with a recent placing at Newmarket.

Trainer Philip McBride has prepared several of his older half-brothers including the Myboycharlie winners Old Town Boy and My Sebastian.  Their dam Native Ring (Fr) won for leading breeders Alain & Gerard Wertheimer and she is a half-sister to their stakes performers Plissetskaia (Caerleon) and Karapucha (Kaldoun).

Dick Turpin (Ire) shuttles from the English National Stud to Mungrup Stud for an $8,800 (inc gst) fee.  As a grandson of the brilliant sire of sires Nureyev, he is perfectly suited to a wide range of mares including those from the Sadler’s Wells, Mr Prospector and Danzig lines.
