The 2011 Dubbo yearling sale on Sunday, February 13 has a number of fillies that breeders at all levels should consider. This year’s sale conducted by Peter Milling & Company comprises 75 lots including 12 consigned by Darley.
The Dubbo sale offers buyers a rare opportunity to access the products of Darley mares including two closely related September foaled fillies by Commands. His filly from Huit offers a 3×3 inbreeding to Eight Carat. She is the second dam of Commands and Huit is by her Australian Horse of the Year son Octagonal.
Huit is one of seven winners from the Inghams homebred Canny Lad filly Seika. She won the AJC Silver Shadow Stakes and was runner up in the VRC Salinger Stakes.
Seika is a sister to It’s Sydney who is the dam of the other Commands filly for sale at Dubbo.
Among the Darley Dubbo colts is a Strategic from Ambitious Lady (Anabaa) and a Lonhro out of Laikipia (Green Desert). The Lonhro is inbred 4×3 to Mr. Prospector.
Besides the Darley contribution, other established sires represented by yearlings include Choisir, Snippetson, Beautiful Crown, Bureaucracy, Desert Sun, Intergaze, Lion Heart, Tiger Hill, Untouchable, Volcanic Prince, Zariz, Lucky Owners, Murphy’s Blue Boy, Aussie Rules, Half Hennessy, Nuclear Freeze, Pure Theatre, Seidnazar, Botswana, Specialize and Fiery Match.
