Domesday filly Arcadia Dream kicked off a memorable afternoon for owner-breeder Bob Peters in the LR Aquanita Stakes (1800m) at Ascot on Saturday.
Arcadia Dream arrived just in time from well back for a well-deserved head victory over Fremond. It was her first black-type victory after placings in the LR Belgravia Stakes, LR Burgess Queen Stakes and G3 Champion Fillies.
The Perth filly is the 9th stakes winner by Domesday who stands for a $13,750 (inc gst) fee at Darley’s Northwood Park base in Seymour.
“She’s been unlucky this season,” Peters explained. “She’s ran second to Perfect Reflection after being held up on the corner and was absolutely knocked out of it in the WA Guineas. She’s been up a while this preparation and will probably go to the paddock.”
Arcadia Dream (3f Domesday – Arcadia by Redoute’s Choice) was the first leg of a feature hat-trick for Peters on Saturday. He also won the G1 Kingston Town Stakes with Perfect Reflection and LR Jungle Dawn Classic with Ideal Image
Her dam Arcadia has also foaled 2013 Belgravia Stakes winner Arcadia Rose (Kheleyf) and Peters produced another promising Domesday winner from the family at Bunbury on Sunday.
Royal Supreme (3g Domesday – Antique Rose by Redoute’s Choice) won the Toro Australia Maiden (1420m) in the south-west just 24 hours after the huge day at Ascot. He is the first foal of a sister to the dam of Arcadia Dream.
