Doubtfilly doubles up at Doomben

Mackay trainer Stuart Kendrick has decided to forego the chance of cracking a city hat-trick with his gutsy filly Doubtfilly this month.

Doubtfilly (2f Not A Single Doubt – Aussie Enchantee by Alhaarth) doubled up at Doomben on Saturday when she stormed home to win the BRC Skyracing TV Hcp (1100m) by a half-neck. “I’ll give her a break now,” Kendrick said. “She’s a tough filly and it was a good effort considering she got a little stirred up before the race.”

Kendrick will wait until the Not A Single Doubt filly returns to work before planning her next program. “She will either to set for the G2 Sires’ Produce Stakes at the winter carnival or stay closer to home for more QTIS bonus races.”

Doubtfilly is raced by Darby Bloodstock and was a $17,500 buy at the 2011 Gold Coast Magic Millions. She has already earned $127,500 courtesy of the QTIS bonus scheme.

Arrowfield stallion Not A Single Doubt got the winner from Aussie Enchantee who only went was far as a Warwick maiden win in 26 starts. She is a daughter of G2 Longchamp Prix de l’Opera winner Andromaque.

Aussie Enchantee has a yearling colt by Stromberg Carlson and was covered by Dr Green last year.
