Downhill run for Indian Danehill

Former Anzac shuttler Indian Danehill has been transferred to stand in France for the 2012 northern season.  He will be based in the Jura Mountains near the ski resorts close to the Swiss border.

A Group 1 winner of the 2000 Prix Ganay at Longchamp when trained by Andre Fabre, he has seen service at the Irish National Stud, Glenview Stud and most recently at Yorton Farm in Shropshire.

Indian Danehill (Danehill) shuttled to Lindsay Park in 2002 and covered over a 100 mares in that initial book.  He was quickly re-routed to Java Lodge in NZ when bookings didn’t justify a return trip to South Australia.

He sired 45 winners in Australia & NZ in four books between 2002 and 2005.  Zip Baby Zip (Listed MRC Summoned Stakes) was his only black-type winner in this part of the world.

Indian Danehill has sired plenty of National Hunt winners in Europe notably the Group 1-placed hurdlers Premier Dane and Indian Spring.
