Famous winner for Ferrari Racing

Improving galloper Already Famous has notched his second win in a row since a summer spell for Ferrari Racing.

Already Famous (3g Viscount – Roaster by Regal Classic) rolled to the front at the furlong and repelled several challengers on Saturday.  There was only a couple of lengths between the first half-dozen home in the Amelia Park Beef Hcp (1400m) at Ascot.

Since transferring from Adam Durrant at the start of the season, the Viscount gelding has won three races for trainer Anne King and Ferrari Racing’s Kim Loxton.  “We were going for the WA Derby until he was injured,” King explained.  “Dropping back in weight and to 1400 metres helped today but he will be better suited over longer distances.”

King prepared her first city winner when Miki Two Toes (Patronize) broke through at Ascot last month.  Based at Lark Hill, she will concentrate on the Belmont winter season instead of travelling north to defend her training titles in the Pilbara.

Already Famous is by Oakland Park sire Viscount from Loxton’s mare Roaster who has a 100% record at stud with prior winners by Bianconi, Medal Of Honor and Oratorio (Aus).

Roaster has a yearling filly by Exceed And Excel sire Pitleco who retired to Greenfields Stud at Capel in 2011.  Loxton owns Pitleco and there are five mares in foal to him as part of the Greenfields Stud dispersal at the Perth Magic Millions Autumn Sale this Sunday.
