Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Sale average up 69%

A daughter of Arch topped Tuesday’s session of the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall yearlings sale at $260,000.

Produced by the winning Royal Sanction (Royal Academy), the filly is a half-sister to German stakes winner Ronja (El Corredor).  She was purchased by agent Steven Young.

Arch (Kris S.) stands at Claiborne Farm for a $30,000 fee.  He has sired 62 stakes performers in USA, Canada, England, Ireland, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Medaglia d’Oro topped Day 1 of the Kentucky Sale and the Darley shuttler was back in the spotlight when his colt from Drifa (Tabasco Cat) made $220,000 on Tuesday.  Offered by Allied Bloodstock, the colt is a half-brother to multiple stakes winning filly Mindy Sue.

An Unbridled’s Song – Pure Symmetry filly was next best at $210,000.  She was knocked down to Adena Springs and counts Hall of Fame filly Serena’s Song as her second dam.  The filly had been passed-in for $100,000 at Fasig-Tipton’s August Sale at Saratoga.

On Tuesday, 254 yearlings sold for $6.35 million and the average was up 69% to $25,035.  Day 3 concludes the Kentucky Sale on Wednesday.
