Larneuk Stud sire O’Lonhro has his first foal on the ground in Euroa. The bay colt was delivered by Danzero mare Zero And Over at Rangal Park.
The bay colt is the first of 75 foals expected this spring for O’Lonhro. Zero And Over hails from the family of Northeast Sheila, Jacqueline Rouge, Dashing Granada and Kablammo.
O’Lonhro is a son of Champion Australian sire Lonhro and is built very much in the mould of his sire. O’Lonhro reached a career high in the 2009 Chelmsford Stakes at Randwick. Lonhro had won the same race in 2002.
“O’Lonhro is a magnificent thoroughbred,” Larneuk’s Neville Murdoch said. “He’s a perfect horse for commercial breeders and owner-breeders alike. He’s hard to miss and impresses everyone.”
O’Lonhro heads the Larneuk Stud roster at a $6,600 (inc gst) fee. He stands alongside Bramshaw (Encosta de Lago) who is available at $4,400 and Tsigane (Anabaa) at $3,300.
