First foal of the season in WA

Scenic Lodge welcomed the first foal of the season in Western Australia when Lob City delivered a black filly by Bradbury’s Luck on Wednesday morning.

The filly arrived three weeks early but is doing extremely well reports Scenic Lodge manager Jeremy Smith.  She’s the first of about 70 foals expected at the Muchea nursery this season.

Lob City (Vital Equine) won at Ascot and Belmont as did her dam Yellow Moon (Giant’s Causeway).  Both mares were raced by Peter Bell.

Subsequently purchased by local breeder Anthony Jardim, Lob City delivered her first foal – a colt by Scenic Lodge sire Universal Ruler – last August.
