Jelle Jac Farm sire Lord of the Land has his first yearlings available at the Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale.
Inglis will conduct the Oaklands Junction auction on Sunday April 17 and Monday April 18.
Lord of the Land (Timber Country) was raced by Gerry Harvey to 7 wins in Sydney from 1500m to 2400m. He was a Listed winner of the AJC Aspiration Stakes at Randwick and STC Christmas Cup at Rosehill Gardens.
A big, lengthy near black stallion, he is a half-brother to Casino Prince (Flying Spur). The Patinack Farm sire hit the headlines last week when his half-brother to Black Caviar topped the Inglis Easter yearling sale at $1,025,000.
Their dam Lady Capel (Last Tycoon) won in Melbourne and she is a sister to the dam of Vinery Stud’s G1 winning sire Onemorenomore.
Lord of the Land stands at Jim Martinek’s Jelle Jac Farm. The Tatura nursery also stood Masterofceremonies who was one of the first sons of Redoute’s Choice to go to stud. Sadly, his stud career was cruelly cut short after being kicked in the penis while covering a mare in 2006.
Lord of the Land has four lots from Jelle Jac Farm entered in the supplementary section of the Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale.
His colts are from Mingamoo (Alannon) and Ozdanz (Citidancer) and the fillies are out of Rani Alsab (Alshinfarah) and Ellas Bar (Honours List).
