Flemington treble for Inglis graduates

Inglis graduates Mosheen, Collar and Isopach collected valuable stakes wins in style at Flemington on Sunday.

MOSHEEN (Fastnet Rock) was back to her best in the G2 VRC Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m).  She was runner-up in the Golden Slipper and had been performing well without much luck this campaign.  The addition of the blinkers clearly did the trick as she scored by more than two lengths over Bliss Street and Celebrity Girl.

Mosheen sold for $250,000 at the 2010 Inglis Easter yearling sale and she will now head to the G1 MRC One Thousand Guineas.  The Caulfield classic was won by Fastnet Rock filly Irish Lights who was also an Inglis graduate.

Mosheen is from the family of Might And Power and was purchased by Troy Corsten’s Newmarc Bloodstock from Bylong Park Stud.

COLLAR (O’Reilly) was a dominant winner of the Listed Doncaster Stakes (1400m).  “He’s very promising,” Macedon Lodge’s Nick Williams said.  “He is a big, raw sort of horse with a great staying future ahead.”

NZ based Little Avondale Stud sold him for $160,000 at the 2010 Inglis Easter yearling sale.  He had over a length to spare on the line from Melbourne Premier graduates First Course and Hell’s Kitchen.

ISOPACH finished off an Inglis treble at Flemington with a Listed victory in the UCI Stakes (1800m).  The Patinack Farm galloper was catalogued for the 2010 Inglis Classic but fell short of a $50,000 reserve.

He is out of a Zabeel mare related to Melbourne Cup winner Subzero.  “The Victoria Derby has always been the plan,” stable representative Glen Thompson said.  “He will go to the Norman Robinson and then into the Derby

Isopach (Magic Albert) has already earned more than $160,000 and he is the 16th Inglis three-year-old to win at stakes level this season in Australia.
