Frankel’s brother in good hands

Frankel’s yearling brother will be trained in France by Andre Fabre.

Owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah’s racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said the chestnut is in Ireland at present and “looks up to scratch”.

The Galileo colt has been quoted at 66-1 for the 2016 English Derby.

Abdullah and Fabre have teamed up to win many of world’s greatest races including the 2000 Guineas with Zafonic in 1993 and Rail Link in the Arc de Triomphe in 2006 and the trainer will no doubt be relishing the prospect of getting his hands on the colt who has quite a way to go to match his famous older brother.

Trained by Sir Henry Cecil for Abdullah, Frankel was unbeaten in 14 starts and was ranked the best horse in the world in 2011 and 2012.

Fabre saddled Pour Moi to victory in the 2011 English Derby.
