Danehill Dancer began June with G1 winner Dancing Rain (English Oaks) and he added another G1 with Risky Business in Malaysia on Sunday.
The Coolmore sire was in the frame again when Risky Business won the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor (2000m) by two lengths under Noel Callow.
Risky Business (6g Danehill Dancer – Sky Watch by Star Watch) had already saluted at the highest level in the G1 Singapore Gold Cup last year. He was a $90,000 purchase from the draft of Tyreel Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Formerly registered as To Arms, he was placed in Adelaide while with David Hayes before transferring to Steven Burridge in Singapore. “This horse is such a ripper,” Burridge said. “His work was shocking and I was also worried about him having to carry 59kg. But he was just too good for them.”
Risky Business is a three quarter brother to fellow Singapore star Lim’s Fighter. They are both from the G2 Grand Prix Stakes winner Sky Watch. The dam is a half-sister to the Sydney stakes winners Swift Cheval (Cheyne Walk) and Vain Top (Vain).
Sky Watch has a 2yo filly named Miss Astronomer (Snitzel) and she foaled a God’s Own colt last year.
