Darley stallion Hard Spun topped the Australian shuttlers represented at the Ocala Breeders 2YO Sale in Florida this week.
There were a half-dozen Hard Spuns catalogued with three changing hands for $100K, $37K and $27K. Two were withdrawn and another (Lot 394) was passed-in for $24,000.
Hard Spun (Danzig) has sired 5 winners from 17 starters among his first crop of two year-olds in Australia this season. Leading the way is Darley filly Coins who was G3 placed at Flemington in March before a last-start victory at Warwick Farm.
