Hay List – Bred to win – Saturday, 14 November 2009

Perth star Hay List gets a chance to open his stakes account in Saturday’s Group 3 Colonel Reeves Stakes (1100m) at Ascot (Race 5 at 3.45pm AWST).

Hay List (4g Statue of Liberty-Sing Hallelujah by Is It True) has won his first 8 starts and can create history tomorrow.  The only horse to remain unbeaten after 9 starts on metro tracks was 1880 Melbourne Cup winner Grand Flaneur.  Trainer Jim Taylor will add blinkers to his gear tomorrow in an attempt to break the 129 year record.

Bred by Terry Davenport and raced by the Davenport family, Hay List is by Eliza Park sire Statue Of Liberty from Sing Hallelujah who won five races in town from 33 starts.
