Husson highlight for Patinack Farm

Patinack Farm celebrated on several fronts after Singapore’s champion jockey Joao Moreira piloted exciting filly Hussousa to victory in the LR Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick on Super Saturday.

Apart from winning the traditional opener for Sydney’s two year-old fillies, Patinack stands the winner’s sire Husson.  Nathan Tinker’s expanding operation also won the first 2YO event in Australia last Saturday when Beautiful Crown homebred Crown Of Coureuse was successful in the Hopeful Plate at Toowoomba.

Hussousa (2f Husson – Petousa by Redoute’s Choice) is from a mare that Patinack purchased from Hayson Bloodstock at the 2008 Magic Millions August Sale for $90,000.

Her dam Petousa is a winning three-quarter Randwick G3 winner Espurante (Flying Spur).  Second dam La Rose Noir (Centaine) was a NZ Listed winner and she is a three-quarter-sister to Australian G1 winners Glamour Puss and Vision And Power,

Husson (Arg) is a son of international sire influence Hussonet and he was Argentina’s Champion 2YO Colt in 2006 & Champion Miler in 2007.

His first South American crop is headed by flying filly Lady Hussy who completed a winning hat-trick in the LR Clasico Eusonio Boni in Beunos Aires in July.

Husson’s first southern bred yearlings sold to $100,000 at the 2011 majors.  He stands for a $22,000 fee at Patinack Farm.
