Inglis Australian Racehorse Sale attracts over 200 lots

The inaugural Australian Racehorse Sale, to be held at Oaklands on Sunday November 15, has attracted an outstanding array of entries and videos of the horses are now available online at Inglis TV.

This one day sale, under an entirely new format, will include all types of readymade racehorses, including breeze up two-year-olds, young unraced horses that have trialled and tried racehorses.

With the sale positioned at the end of the spring carnival, vendors have ample opportunity to enter horses as supplementary entries, which close on Monday, November 9 (after Flemington’s Melbourne Cup week).

“The response to this sale has been outstanding and with the number of supplementary entries we have already received, the catalogue is almost certain to include more than 200 horses, which is a fantastic result given this is only the first year of the new format,” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.

A feature of the sale will be the Shipton Lodge dispersal comprising 28 lots . These include two-year-olds by Flying Spur, Lonhro, Shamardal, God’s Own and Red Ransom whose breeze up footage can be viewed now at Inglis.tv.

Videos of every select horse catalogued is online at Inglis TV. These videos include breeze ups, trials and races.

Breeze ups are being held over three sessions at Randwick, Benalla and Cranbourne and are now online.  There is also footage of private sessions from Eliza Park, along with trial and race footage of those that have already been to the races.

“Fast streaming technology and high quality videos are a feature of the new Inglis TV service and this gives prospective buyers every possible opportunity to assess potential purchases,” Webster said.

“This Sale is targeted at buyers wanting to take a horse straight to the track and we believe it will particularly suit the Asian market.”
