The 2011 Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale will offer a supplementary catalogue for the first time.
“Following interest from a number of breeders, we saw merit in opening the Autumn Yearling Sale to include a supplementary catalogue,” Inglis Director Peter Heagney said.
“It will be the last dedicated yearling sale in Victoria for the season and will give breeders the opportunity to sell yearlings which may have incurred a minor setback when preparing for the Premier Sale or yearlings which at closing time of entries were not going to be sold but vendors now wish to sell.”
The sale will be held at Oaklands Junction on April 17 and 18.
The 2010 Autumn Yearling Sale produced significant gains across all major indicators, highlighted by a 23% rise in the average and 18% in gross takings.
The Supplementary is open to all yearlings – including new entries, not just passed in or withdrawn entries from Premier. Supplementary yearlings will be sold at the conclusion of the second day’s selling on April 18. Entries close on Friday 18 March.
