Lonhro colt tops low-key Inglis Melbourne Sale

A Lonhro colt was one of the few highlights of a low-key Inglis Racehorse Sale at Oaklands Junction on Tuesday.

The two year-old from Golden Tulip (Alquoz) made $80,000 and was sold to Inglis, as agent.  Offered by Grange Thoroughbreds, he was originally purchased as a foal for $60,000 at the 2010 Magic Millions National Sale.

He was catalogued for the 2011 Perth Magic Millions yearling sale but didn’t make the trip west.

Next on the leader-board was the David Payne trained gelding Future Solution.  The Belong To Me five year-old was purchased by a Victorian buyer for $30,000.  He has won four races in Sydney, the last of them at Rosehill in June.

The 48 lots to change hands grossed $295,100 at average of $6,148.
