Market Slide, the dam of 2002 Melbourne Cup winner Media Puzzle, has died at Moyglare Stud in Ireland.  The 21 year-old mare died a few days after foaling a Montjeu filly.

Market Slide (USA) won the 1994 Scurry Sprint at the Curragh and she was also placed at G3 level in the First Lady Hcp at Gulfstream Park in Florida.  Besides Media Puzzle (Theatrical), she also foaled 2003 English 2000 Guineas winner Refuse To Bend (Sadler’s Well).

The Gulch mare is a half-sister to G1 Meadowlands Cup winner Twilight Agenda (Devil’s Bag) and the dam of G1 Belmont Stakes winner Go And Go (Be My Guest).
