More Than Ready millionaire for Blue Sky Bloodstock (FBAA)

Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA) members maintained a strong presence on Day 2 of the Gold Coast Magic Millions with turnover of $6.71 million.

It followed FBAA trade of $8.07 million on Day 1 for a growing list of domestic and international clients.

Julian Blaxland’s Blue Sky Bloodstock (FBAA) topped the overall session on Thursday when acting with Gai Waterhouse and Aquis Farm for the $1.30 million More Than Ready brother to Sebring from Corumbene Stud.

“I’ve had two Golden Slipper winners off Corumbene and this could be the third,” Gai said.  “He’s a magical, masculine horse.”

Blaxland was also bidding on behalf of Aquis Farm when acquiring a Fastnet Rock colt for $650,000 from Kia-Ora Stud.  He’s the first foal of G1 Hollywood Starlet Stakes winner Pure Fun.

Boomer Bloodstock (FBAA) agent Craig Rounsefell topped Day 1 with $900,000 for the Dundeel – Miss Finland colt and he was back on Thursday for another three yearlings totalling $1 million.  Topping the trio was an I Am Invincible – Radiant Star colt from the family of Melbourne Group winners Nediym’s Glow and Kinglike for $550,000.

Other FBAA members in action on Day 2 of the Gold Coast Magic Millions included;

Bluegrass Bloodstock:  So You Think colt ($280,000) was another buy for Gelagotis Racing

DGR Thoroughbreds:  Duncan Ramage paid $240,000 for a Foxwedge filly from the ‘Canny’ family

Dynamic Syndications:  Four yearlings for Dean Watt including a $115,000 filly by All Too Hard

Peter Ford:  A Redoute’s Choice filly & Zoustar colt for a combined $270,000 with Robbie Griffiths

Pinhook Bloodstock:  Nicconi colt from Widden purchased for $35,000 going to Scott Singleton

Randwick Bloodstock:  Three lots for Mystery Downs and Henry Dwyer for a combined $720,000
