My Destiny will head to the $400,000 R M Williams Magic Millions Cup after extending his winning streak in the LR Lough Neagh Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on Saturday.
My Destiny (4g Stratum – Grand Story by Grand Lodge) led home several other Magic Millions graduates while claiming his first win at stakes level. “He’s still very green and has a lot to learn,” trainer Con Karakatsanis said. “It’s taken a while but he’s starting to put it all together now.”
A $50,000 purchase from Southern Cross Breeders at the 2009 Gold Coast Magic Millions, he has won 5 times in 10 starts for over $275,000 in prizemoney. The Sydney based sprinter came from midfield to win by a neck from Ready To Rip (More Than Ready) and Adebisi (Shovhog).
My Destiny is by Widden champion Stratum from well related mare Grand Story. His dam is a half sister to three stakes performers including G1 Doomben Cup winner Mr Bureaucrat.
Stratum will be represented by 32 lots at the upcoming Gold Coast Magic Millions including top prospects from young stakes winning mares Siennas Fury, Skewiff and Tango Amigo’s.
