Pocket-rocket Kiss Me clinched his first victory with a powerful turn of foot in Singapore on Friday night.

Winning jockey Danny Beasley was impressed with the son of Vinery sire Casino Prince who was racing for the fourth time at Kranji.  “He’s a fighter,” Beasley said.  “If he puts on 20kg and strengthens up a bit, he can become a very good horse.”

Kiss Me (3g Casino Prince – Lost In Dubai by Dubai Destination) defeated the favourite Vitally Secret (Vital Equine) by a neck and they finished three lengths ahead of third-placed Just Duit (King Cugat).

Winning trainer Alvin Tan said Kiss Me is still learning what racing is all about.  “I don’t work him frequently and he seems to like turf better than the Polytrack,” he said.  “I will probably keep him on turf from now on.”

Kiss Me’s dam Lost In Dubai is from a half-sister to Cox Plate winner Maldivian.  After foaling the Singapore winner and a colt by Vinery sire Husson, she was put back into work and won at Mt Gambier in May!
