Ready’s Image has maintained his winning momentum at stud with a third first-crop winner in the space of a fortnight.

The Lincoln Farm shuttler has been represented by five individual winners to date and the latest arrived at Louisiana Downs on Saturday when Rephrase scored on debut over 1200m.

Rephrase (2c Ready’s Image – Reef by Cape Town) was unhurried early on and was third last in 11 horse field until Mark Guidry roused him five wide around the home turn.  He finished full of running to score by more than a length.

Ready’s Image is a G2 winning son of More Than Ready and is sitting well inside the Top 10 on the North American freshman winners’ premiership.  He stands at Walmac Farm in Kentucky and is level-pegging with Horse of the Year Curlin and Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown.

“Ready’s Image had that all-important brilliance at two, coupled with good size, being 16.2 hands,” Walmac owner John T Jones III said.  “He was the highest-priced yearling of his year by More Than Ready and is sure to put commercial conformation to his progeny.”

Rephrase is from Churchill Downs winner Reef and she has a Ready’s Image yearling colt that’s already been named Reinforce.
