Safusa has all but clinched a berth in January’s $1 million Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) after claiming last week’s Magic Millions Wyong 3YO Stakes.
Safusa (3g Elusive Quality – Zolaroyale by Dominion Royale) is trained by David Pfieffer for owner Glenn Williams. She was bred in Victoria by Tarcoola Stud’s Ken Williams and sold through the draft of Segenhoe Stud for $45,000 at the 2011 Gold Coast Magic Millions.
Pfieffer trained Graceful Anna (Anabaa) to win the 2010 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas. Williams raced Karuta Queen (Not A Single Doubt) to the Magic Millions 2YO Classic 12 months ago.
The Matthew Smith trained Combat Kitty heads the list ahead of quality Queenslanders Rocket to Glory, Noisy Ocean, Playtime, Military Grace and Biggles.
Combat Kitty (General Nediym) heads the market at $5.50 ahead of Sandown Guineas runner-up Niagara ($6), and Safusa ($6.50).
