Testa Rossa flyer at Magic Millions Breeze-Ups

A filly by Testa Rossa ran the quickest time during the second and final set of Gold Coast breeze ups on Monday in preparation for this week’s Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale.

A member of the Baramul Stud draft, the filly from the G2 mare Combination ran a sparkling 10.52 seconds for the timed 200m breeze up.

She was one of 58 ready made racetrack prospects to run under 11s which is a record in the lead up to a HIT Sale.

Magic Millions Managing Director David Chester said he was delighted again with how the latest session went and suggested many top class stakes gallopers would emerge from the auction.

“Jockeys told me there was a much stiffer head wind than our other session last month – so for any horse to beat 11s was a fantastic effort,” Chester said.  “There’s no doubt our buyers from around Australian and abroad will be impressed with the selection of horses we have to go under the hammer on Wednesday and Thursday.”

“Over the weekend seven graduates of this sale in recent years won races overseas – that is a fantastic advertisement for the quality we present here on the Gold Coast,” Chester added.

The first session of the sale will kick off at 4pm (Qld time) on Wednesday.  The action will then continue at 11am on Thursday.

Clips from both sessions, along with the online catalogue and a full list of breeze up times are at the Magic Millions website – www.magicmillions.com.au.
