So You Think will start in the G1 Champion Stakes at Ascot this coming Saturday and then possibly back-up in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic at Churchill Downs on November 6.
So You Think (High Chaparral) finished fourth in the G1 Arc de Triomphe on October 2 and has firmed into a 7-4 favourite for the Champion Stakes. The NZ bred champion has been priced at 7-1 for the Breeders’ Cup.
“If it were up to me, he would run every week such is his constitution,” trainer Aidan O’Brien said. “He has come out of the Arc in unbelievable form.”
Bart Cummings raced So You Think three times in 10 days at the 2010 Melbourne spring carnival. He claimed the Cox Plate (2040m) and seven days scored a convincing victory in the Mackinnon Stakes (2000m).
He buttered up three days later in the Melbourne Cup (3200m) and hit the front at the furlong before being run over by Americain.
