Group 1 Newmarket Hcp winner Wanted will continue stud duties at Clear Mountain Fairview in Queensland following a transfer from Victoria.
Wanted (Fastnet Rock) was originally slated to stand at Widden Stud in 2010 before a late change saw him retire, as a rig, to Eliza Park Stud. The Kerrie property changed hands in 2016 after his popularity had plummeted from a book of 180 to 43 mares.
He has sired 7 stakes performers comprising Dead Or Alive, Rough Justice, Sort After, Wazzenme, Shaf, War Point and Sun Seeker. “We believe Wanted is one of the best credentialed stallions to hit Queensland,” Clear Mountain Fairview owner Bob Frappell said. “There are ample reasons for breeders to send their broodmares to him this season – and let’s not forget about the lucrative opportunities with his future QTIS eligible foals.”
Wanted will stand at a $5,500 fee alongside Hvasstan ($2,970), Tycoon Ruler ($5,500), Worthy Cause ($5,500) and Zaha ($2,200).
