War Chant’s widely travelled son Rallying Cry has been retired to stand at stud in the USA.
Rallying Cry (7h War Chant – Turning Wheel by Seeking The Gold) won 9 races from 1000m to 1700m starting with a Newmarket maiden in July 2006 and he followed up with an all-the-way victory at Kempton.
Raced by Princess Haya Of Jordan, he returned the following year to be placed behind Asiatic Boy in the G3 UAE 2000 Guineas with Kerrin McEvoy aboard. He also finished fourth to the same winner in the G2 UAE Derby.
Transferred to the United States, he ran in the colours of Mike and Jeanette Osborn winning at Keeneland and being stakes placed at Saratoga and Belmont. He bowed out with three wins at Hastings Park this year.
Rallying Cry represents the Danzig sireline and was bred by Flaxman Holdings out of Maisons-Laffitte G3 winner Turning Wheel. His second dam is a half-sister to leading sire Clever Trick (Icecapade).
Rallying Cry will stand at Allaire Farms. His sire War Chant is currently finishing his first southern book at Yarradale Stud before returning to Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky.
