The Inglis Spring Sale at Newmarket generated good competition from a wide buying bench that spent $626,000 on 98 lots. The clearance rate was 92%.
Darley brought a strong draft of 14 horses to the sale and provided the two highest priced lots. Whitlam fetched $38,000 for a Victorian based buyer. Spain brought equal second highest bid and is also going to Victoria for $28,000. He’s a full brother to Darley’s first crop stallion Denman.
“Today’s sale was highlighted by an excellent clearance rate,” Sydney director Jonathan D’Arcy commented. “There was also a strong participation on-line.”
The next Inglis sale is the Sydney Summer Sale on Friday, December 7. The Melbourne December Sale is scheduled for Friday, December 14.
