Dansili stallion Zacinto (GB) has been purchased to stand in New Zealand’s South Island at Inglewood Stud.
Zacinto (6h Dansili – Ithaca by Distant View) was trained by Sir Michael Stoute for Juddmonte owner Khalid Abdulla. He scored by eight lengths on debut at Sandown in July 2008 before finishing second to Super Pistachio in the G2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.
At three, he developed into a high-class miler, winning the LR Premier Stakes and G2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood. He also finished second to Rip Van Winkle in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.
Zacinto hails from one of Juddmonte’s finest families. He is from a daughter of 1997 English Oaks heroine Reams Of Verse (Nureyev).
He is the second son of Dansili to retire to stud in Austalasia following the British-bred Hong Kong performer Champions Gallery who stands at Kilto Park in Queensland.
Dansili is a son of the legendary Danehill and stands at a fee of 65,000 pounds at Juddmonte Farms in England. His Group 1 winners include winner Rail Link (Arc de Triomphe) and Harbinger (King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes).
Dansili notched his first (Aus) black-type winner when Soft Sand scored a Listed victory in the Kevin Hayes Stakes at Caulfield on February 11.
